Moving In
Thanks to ZodiacRain and annachibi for posting comments. I’ve now installed Seasons and am well into the first week as Ronald!
Let’s set the scene. Ronald Hermes, a Cactus Farmer, has moved to Strangetown after his Mother passed away. She left him a nice house, greenhouse, and nice land, as well as a hefty sum of Simoleans. Sick of his Cactus ways, he’s moved to this nice new abode.
Unfortunately, the environment of Strangetown means that small cactus plantations are hard to cultivate. Which is strange, considering it’s a desert. And there are big cactuses…
Anyway, it’s time to move in!
Ronald never liked his mother’s house. It’s filled with too much stuff, too much junk, and too many paintings. However, she’d never forgive him if he got rid of it all. Maybe he’ll do it later when he’s famous.
However, he brought along his favourite picture, of his old farm.
Fortunately for Ronald, the land out back is legendary for its crops. He set to work.
Unfortunately, Ronald has no idea how to plant crops like this. He’s lived his life by the Cactus Farming Industry, and this won’t do. But he has to learn, and learn he does!
Life continues as normal. Farming by day, sleeping by night, eating in between.
The woman from the Gardening Club Society Thing came round, and inspected the garden.
Excellent! That discount will come in handy. Farming everything in that greenhouse will be expensive.
The next day, Ronald got up, prepared for the day ahead. He did his business on the toilet, and got up to find out it had leaked everywhere. Niiiice.
So Ronald had to clean it up. Could this day start off any worse? Ronald set off to make some food.
And then the oven set on fire.
Good job Mrs. Hermes was so safety-minded, though. The alarm went off and the Firemen were on the scene in seconds. The cooker smoked suspiciously, though, so Ronald did the sensible thing and called a repairman.
The repairman arrived, strolled casually into the bathroom, declared that everything was perfectly fine, and walked out again, $50 in hand.
Upon examining, Ronald discovered it was the burger that was causing the smoke. He cleared it all up, and then inexplicably decided to eat it. That didn’t make him feel very good. Nice job, Ronald.
Next, Ronald examined that strange flower pressing thing. His Mother had loved it, and Ronald resented it. It wasn’t a Farmer’s way.
Nonetheless, he had a go at making bunches.
Ronald was feeling a bit lonely after the death of his Mother. The life of a farmer is indeed a lonely one, but Ronald was feeling down in the dumps.
Then a strange Bunny appeared. Cautiously, Ronald approached the Bunny, and spoke to it. Strange, indeed. Expecting the Bunny to wait outside, Ronald went back indoors to the toilet. Instead, the Bunny came in while he was on the loo.

Wierdo. It’s all gone a bit Donnie Darko, really.
So that’s it for now. An exciting few days for Ronald!

Heh heh heh.
I am now tempted to start over with my game and create a new char.
However, am not sure what I will start my character as.
This will require some thinking my good friend.
P.s. good luck Ronald.
